Learn the fundamentals of jazz harmony and improvisation.
Using standard jazz progressions, practical chord voicings, and melodic concepts, students explore the harmonic possibilities of jazz and learn how to improvise over chord progressions, using the jazz musician's tools of critical listening, lead sheets, and transcription.
(No previous jazz experience required.)
